Help? [TW: Stalking]

skepticamongthefaithful:

As many of you know by now, I’m currently dealing with a lot of anxiety/personal problems that stem from a stalker whose recently made their presence known in my life; first, by attempting to blow up my car with a Molotov after Christmas last year, then again this month by (this time successfully) burning down the same car, after keying it and leaving a letter on my front lawn with indicating they’d been watching me for awhile online.

Now, I know who did this, and since the described incident, I’ve been able to amass evidence that backs me up on this; so much so, the person has proceeded to delete their Facebook account to hide evidence, upon learning that I was able to link their IP address to harassment a friend was receiving via Anonymous Tumblr messages, and by extension pages on my own account that reflect information included in the letter (my previous Nathan Fox alias as well as political beliefs, which they attacked in the letter).

Though I’m still hoping for this person to have charges brought against them in a criminal trial, I am beginning to lose faith that it will happen. So, both for my mental health as well as to regain the loss of my car, I want to file a lawsuit against this person, but first need to acquire the funds to cover filing and court fees (totaling 200 dollars).

Normally I wouldn’t ask, because of how these things always turn out for me, but being as desperate as I am right now and because I’m unsure of when he’ll be deployed again (he’s a marine), I am asking for help and would honestly appreciate ANY amount donated either through the Donate button on my page or, for those of you who’d like to receive something in return, by purchasing something from my Etsy shop (I do custom orders).

I realize not a lot of people on here would like my choosing to go this route, but being that this person has shown they’re a real threat to others, I am hoping if nothing else, that by winning this case against him it’ll be enough to raise eye-brows should he ever do this to anyone else in the future, so it isn’t written off as a coincidence. This is a person who thinks themselves above everyone, who lashes out at anyone who tries to cut them out of their lives by targeting those close to them; something needs to happen so that they lose at least a degree of their sense of invincibility and (hopefully) deter them from lashing out at me again if they are not found guilty in a criminal trial, should it even go that far. Sadly, I can’t provide anymore details than this, because as I already stated, this person is stalking me - both off and online.

Again, I’d really appreciate any help; anything from a few dollars to signal boosting this. Thank you.

-Fox

POC Zine Project featured on Colorlines.com!
Excerpt:

I sat down with Daniela shortly after the conclusion of the POC Zine Project’s 2012 ‘Meet Me at the Race Riot’ tour to find out what role zines can play in increasing people of color’s political power.
“In each of the fourteen cities, we kept hearing similar messages,” she says. “‘This needed to happen,’ and ‘I’ve been looking for something like this.’ What they’re talking about isn’t about the zines, it’s about community. It’s about finding spaces where you don’t feel silenced, where your thoughts and feelings matter.”

Nia King: Thank you again for doing this piece and your ongoing support.
Colorlines.com: Thank you for recognizing our work! This was a terrific way to share information about our three-year anniversary and upcoming initiatives.

There are, however, some zines on Etsy as well; obviously, if more sell on Etsy than on Storenvy, I’ll just transfer everything over there.

We’ll be seeing if listing the zines on Etsy does anything for our sales, because we really do need to increase visibility, so as to be able to purchase more zines and build up the distro.

Things are currently listed on the Foxalive Distro, though if we start getting sales through there, we’ll be opening up our own Etsy page.

New PEOPLE OF THE SUN Distro patches! Available here on Etsy! Made in preparation for the L.A. Zine fest, which I (Fox) will be tabling at, trying to get the word out so we can sell these zines and get more! Also, we have 17 days left on our Indiegogo page, and to no surprise we are at ZERO - but don’t worry, still not giving up on this!

With all the “native inspired” utter crap out there, lots of people will miss how many native artists there are. One of my favorites is Sharon Irla, a Cherokee from Oklahoma.

Pretty much the purpose of this blog is to introduce people to Native artists so that they can forget about the “native inspired” crap. Please support Native artists!
